This utility is very comprehensive and feature-rich, as it also enables you to choose specific audio and subtitle tracks to be ripped from the DVD, or to perform some basic editing functions like trimming and cropping the extracted video.

I also like that the processing speed is high and the fact that it can handle not only actual DVDs, but also DVD images or multimedia DVD folders.

Last but not least, this handy app can also shrink DVDs by converting 8.5 GB DVDs to 4.7 GB ones.

The only disadvantage of this tool is, in my opinion, the fact that the video editing window is quite messy and complicated to use. It’s also unable to handle Blu-ray discs. Other than these two issues, there’s not much to criticize about it. Its price is not very attractive but neither unreasonable.

In conclusion, though it doesn’t impress, DVD Converter Ultimate looks decent enough to be worth at least a try.
